My thoughts got mixed in with my scrambled eggs

I got really hungry for scrambled eggs this morning.  And my bloggers block was really persistent.  I couldn't control it.  So I started to make my scrambled eggs, adding a tiny bit of salt and then I poured them onto my buttered pan.  Suddenly I thought up adding a tiny bit of Kentucky Fried Chicken gravy to the mix.  And as I was cooking it up, my thoughts were drowning in the scrambled egg mixture. 

Words kept on getting sizzled up by the heat under the pan.  I'm dying here.  I think I had something good to say, and now it has gotten fried up with breakfast.  And then to top it off, I suddenly started seeing smoke arise from under the pan.  And then as I moved the pan, voila, a six inch high flame had evolved. 

Surprise, surprise.  Although my words were long gone, I was sensible enough to toss a little bit of water to the burner to see the flame gone.  And by then, my eggs were done.  So I ended up sitting down and ate up my Word Scrambled Egg Concoction.  It was good with a tiny bit of the gravy added.  Yum.

So, now that those thoughts are long gone, I am sitting down and am trying to recover some perchance new thoughts.

The view from my window on my way to California last summer.  I went out to pitch my novel, Black Roses to movie producers.  Didn't end up landing an opportunity, but it was a lot of fun and I actually met movie producers.  How many times does something like that happen?  Usually never.

And I got to meet lots of other authors.  It was basically an authors convention to all of us who had self published our books.  Two lucky winners got to get a movie deal.  The two that one were An Alaskan Pipe Dream  and Internet Dates From Hell.

They said mine would make a really good independent film.  But when the results were tallied up, it said but not at this time.  Which meant no.  But I'm glad I went anyway.  I almost cancelled but I didn't want to let the boat sail.
